Who is truly a better romantic match for Rhaenerya between Daemon and Mysaria?
Rhaenerya has history with Daemon since the first time he tried to seduce her, she was a young teenager.
But her newfound interest in Mysaria is filling the void of loneliness she might be feeling since Daemon seemingly dipped out on her.
Fans of House of the Dragon are weighing in on who is a better match for Rhaenerya when it comes to her love life.
One person who doesn’t see a real future for Rhaenerya and Mysaria wrote, “I also think anyone who thinks Mysaria has Rhaenyra’s best interests at heart is naive. Absolutely Mysaria is looking to manipulate Rhaenyra for her own ends. Mysaria is an opportunist.”
Someone else who doesn’t think Rhaenerya and Mysaria will work out added, “I don’t know why people are so invested when she will most likely betray Rhaenerya. Yeah, they might change it, but the whole relationship is just messy and won’t end well.”
Another fan who’s waiting for reconciliation between Rhaenerya and Daemon added, “Yeah, Daemon has issues, but he genuinely loves Rhaenyra. Mysaria is a spymaster and has said she doesn’t trust anyone.”
Someone else jokingly chimed in with, “In an ideal world they’d be like a three-headed dragon where they’re all together. But we can’t have nice things.”
The arguments on both sides for who Rhaenerya is better off with are strong.
Some people have doubts about Mysaria’s intentions, and if she’s only showing a romantic interest in Rhaenerya to boost herself to a more powerful position, then her manipulative nature is certainly problematic.
But others believe she’s wholeheartedly loyal to Rhaenyra. Otherwise, why would she have warned Ser Errick about the attack on Rhaenyra’s life?
Also, Mysaria‘s life in the past consisted of men using and abusing her. A desire to experience a more gentle and accepting love with a woman would totally make sense for her storyline in terms of her genuine desire to be with Rhaenerya.
When it comes to Daemon, plenty people are having doubts about his feelings for Rhaenerya since he is so obsessed with becoming king in his own right.
His anger at the fact that he wasn’t named heir by his brother, Viserys Targaryen, has been a trigger point for him for a very long time.
That same token, Daemon has also had Rhaenerya’s back on multiple occasions in the past, and fans don’t feel like those events should be tossed out and forgotten completely.
