Do Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez have a legitimate friendship between them?

Both beautiful women have so much going for them, but does that mean they’re cool with each other on a friendly level?

Things can get very messy and complicated in the entertainment industry.

Here’s what you should know about the connection between Kylie and Selena.

Back in 2014, Selena was spotted publicly hanging out with Kylie a handful of times. Plenty of people thought there was a tight-knit friendship being formed between them.

It definitely got a bit messy when Selena started dating Justin Bieber because he would occasionally get pretty flirty with Kylie‘s older sister, Kendall Jenner.

Right after Coachella 2014, Selena unfollowed both Kendall and Kylie on Instagram.

The reason why? Many people speculated it was because the Jenner sisters were flirting with Justin and the rest of his buddies at the festival.

According to Us Weekly, rumors about Selena claiming that Kylie and Kendall were bad influences started making their rounds.

But then, a source tried to squash the drama by saying, “Selena has no issues with the Jenner girls. They had an issue but they have cleared it up.”

Things got especially chaotic between Selena and Kylie when one of Kylie’s best friends, Hailey Bieber, started getting close and personal with Justin.

Justin and Selena were in and off-and-on relationship, and during their off-seasons, he would often link up with Hailey!

In 2018, he officially tied the knot with Hailey, which meant his reconciliation patterns with Selena were done at that point forever.

Since Hailey was always besties with Kylie, her marriage to Justin obvi caused some distance between Selena and Kylie to grow.

Fast forward to 2023, and things got extremely dramatic when it appeared that Kylie and Hailey were bullying Selena on social media by making fun of her eyebrows in a TikTok video.

Tons of people labeled Kylie and Hailey as “mean girls,” and they both lost thousands of followers on their social media platforms.

Selena claimed that she laminated her eyebrows too much, and Kylie and Hailey seemingly poked fun at that in a separate video that came across as super childish and rude.

They later denied that they were talking about Selena, but the damage was already done.

Fast forward again to the Golden Globes of 2024, and even more drama popped up when rumors swirled that Selena attempted to take a photo with Timothee Chalamet, but Kylie shut it down before it could happen.

Since Kylie is currently dating Timothee, many people assumed that she didn’t want Timothee taking a picture with Selena because she was jealous.

In all reality, Selena never asked Timothee to take a picture together, and Kylie never told them not to.

That story was a terrible case of an awkward rumor running rampant without any real legs to stand on.

So, to answer the question of whether or not Kylie and Selena are friends, the answer is… Not really.
