Is a comparison between Sydney Sweeney and Margot Robbie totally valid?
Social media users seem to think so. Margot has been on the scene in the Hollywood industry since 2008.
Things really took off for her in 2013, though, when she starred in About Time alongside Rachel McAdams and The Wolf of Wall Street alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
Sydney‘s career feels a bit fresher than Margot’s even though she landed her first role in 2009.
Sydney didn’t gain true career momentum until 2018 when she agreed to start in a comedy series called Everything Sucks!
From there, it was full steam ahead for Sydney as an actress.
Here is what fans are saying when it comes to drawing comparisons between Sydney and Margot.
One social media user posted, “Thoughts on Sydney Sweeney? Seen a few people compare her to Margot Robbie, but I think Margot actually has more of a range that Sydney doesn’t quite have. I don’t think she’s about actress though. I think movies like Immaculate suit her more than movies like Anyone But You.”
Someone responded by saying, “I feel like she’s being placed into a box. Which can be fine, but every other month she’s placed in another box. Just like Margot Robbie, Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron, and Jennifer Lawrence. It seems she’s not really being allowed to craft her own identity as both an actress and celebrity.”
Another fan added, “Honestly, I think Sydney and Margot have the same amount of range. When it comes to Margot, she plays a similar character in almost every role, an angry Jersey girl. That was her character in The Wolf of Wall Street, Tonya Harding, Harley Quinn. Hell, even Barbie was just a nice version of that.”

At the end of the day, the truth of the matter is that Sydney and Margot certainly do have a lot in common.
Margot’s career is just further along because she’s landed blockbuster movie roles for a longer stretch of time compared to Sydney.
Sydney is 26 and Margot is 34, so they are both still young, stunning, and sprightly.
They’re both blonde, they both have massive sex appeal, and they both have enough charm to dazzle millions of fans around the globe.
It’s totally understandable. why some people would compare Sydney and Margot!
