Does Ariana Grande feel connected to the role of Cat Valentine that she played for years on Nickelodeon?
Does she feel like she actually relates to Cat in real life? We’ve got your answer!
Ariana took on the role of Cat Valentine on Victorious starting in 2010. She played the same character in Sam & Cat starting in 2013.
Both shows are considered Nickelodeon gold since people still think back on them with tons of love and appreciation.
The character of Cat was known for being ditzy, absent-minded, and a bit of an airhead. Still, she was adored by viewers everywhere.
Here’s how Ariana feels about Cat Valentine in her hard of hearts.
Ariana posted a lengthy message on Facebook reflecting on Cat Valentine for the world to see.
She wrote, “I want to thank (series creator) Dan Schneider for allowing me to play such a special, beautiful character who I hid behind for so long. What I mean by that is when I was younger, people loved Cat so much I used to pretend to be more like her,” Grande wrote. “It took me a long time to be brave enough to separate myself and show people how different we actually are. I think that’s honestly because I admire her so much. Her appreciation for life and everybody she encounters. Her passion and genuine excitement for the little things that most people dread like school projects and work. She always saw negative obstacles as opportunities to make things good.”
Widely spread negative opinions surrounding Dan Schneider aren’t very good right now because plenty of people think he’s a total creep and a weirdo.
Ariana didn’t allude to that in the message she wrote to open up about her time playing Cat.
To answer the question about whether or not she relates to the role, it seems ArianaMsees a lot of positives in Cat that she wouldn’t mind sticking with the real world.
When it comes to the way Cat portrays excitement, passion, and a general appreciation to live a fun-filled life, who wouldn’t want to emulate those things?
Cat never came across as the sharpest tool in the shed, but she always came across as a super high vibrational individual who saw the cup half full.
Her adorably sweet aloofness is what made her so easy to love since she seemed to always be blissfully ignorant of any real-world difficulties.
