If the idea of putting yourself first makes you uncomfortable, you’re not alone.
Tons of people can resonate with the discomfort that comes along with putting yourself first because people don’t want to come across as selfish.
At the end of the day, putting yourself first is absolutely mandatory when it comes to self-love. Here’s what you should know about this mindset on Self-Love Saturday.
Putting yourself first doesn’t mean abandoning others

You have to remember that although you’re prioritizing yourself, it doesn’t mean you’re turning your back on the people you care about most.
It’s impossible to pour into others’ cups if your cup is empty. That said, you have to make sure your cup is full!
If you’re always drained from showing up for other people while forgetting yourself on the back burner, there’s no way you’re going to become the best version of yourself at any point in time.
If you subconsciously believe self-love is selfish, you’ll never achieve it

In the same way it’s crucial to abandon toxic belief systems that block your manifestations regarding romantic, love, financial, prosperity, and health, you must do the same with self-love.
An example? We might’ve grown up hearing things like “I wasn’t born rich, so I’ll probably never become rich” and “Money is the root of all evil.”
We have to unlearn all those toxic beliefs to achieve true wealth and prosperity in our lives.
It’s equally as important to stop believing that self-love is selfish.
This matters because once you master self-love, it becomes easier for everything else to fall in line.
This includes your friendships, your relationships, your health, your career, and so much more.
Your level of self-love will help you function better in society since you’ll be showing up as a happier and more fulfilled human being. There is nothing selfish about that!
