The city of Bluff is in Southland New Zealand, and is home to 1,840 residents. Many travelers seek out Bluff for the iconic sign at Stirling Point.

Glenorchy

For those seeking Middle-Earth charm, look no further than the city of Glenorchy, New Zealand.

This is the perfect place for horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, or jet boating. Nearby in the settlement of Paradise is where to find the magical scenery from Lord of the Rings. 

The mountains create a stunning backdrop and reflect onto the Dart River. Hiking to Glenorchy Lagoon or Mt Judah just require your hiking gear and they are close to town.
