The year of 2025 is starting off strong with engagement announcements from both Zendaya and Selena Gomez.
But which of these stunning actresses will actually make it down the aisle first?
We know Selena has been dating Benny Blanco since late 2023, which is when she first went public with their relationship.
Zendaya and Tom Holland have been together since 2021 (officially) after meeting while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016.
Here’s an estimation of who will officially tie the knot with their partners first between Zendaya and Selena, based on their past behavior in front of the public eye.
Our guess? Selena Gomez will likely get married first
Although no one knows for sure what wedding timelines Zendaya and Selena have drawn up with their fiances, it’s safe to assume that Selena will likely make it down the aisle with Benny before Zendaya makes it down the aisle with Tom.
Here’s why we think so…
We came to this conclusion because Zendaya and Tom have taken their sweet time dating each other for several years without marriage being a factor.
Based on the way Zendaya and Tom have approached their long-term relationship, it doesn’t seem they’re in any sort of hurry to get married.
Whenever Zendaya has been asked about marriage during interviews in the past, she’s never been interested in divulging details on the topic.
However, during an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2024, she gave rare insight into her desire to get married and have kids someday when she said, “At some point you have to play characters that are your own age and have experiences that you don’t have — for example, having children or getting married. While those are all things I want and I’m looking forward to, they just haven’t happened quite yet.”
Beyond that, Zendaya remained incredibly tight-lipped about everything regarding taking the next step with Tom.
Selena, on the other hand, has been open and honest about her desire to become a wife someday MANY times over the years.
During a podcast appearance on Giving Back Generation in 2022, Selena emphasized her feelings, saying, “I hope to get married and become a mother.“
That same year, she told Rolling Stone, “I grew up thinking I would be married at 25. It wrecked me that I was nowhere near that — couldn’t be farther from it. It was so stupid, but I really thought my world was over.”
Another time when a fan on Instagram mistakenly thought they saw Selena upload a picture of herself in a wedding dress, she responded to the fan by saying, “I wish.”
The fact that Selena has been so eager to talk about weddings, marriage, and becoming a wife leads us to believe she’ll likely plan a wedding with a closer date than what Zendaya would plan for.

People Magazine somewhat confirmed our estimation thanks to a source who recently claimed, “[Tom and Zendaya] will just enjoy things for now and won’t rush a wedding. They are both busy with work projects.”
Regardless of who makes it down the aisle first, fans are undoubtedly going to be super stoked to see official wedding photos from both Zendaya and Selena.
