Maybe they are on to something?
But the real question is how can you practically create these moments of quietness in everyday life?
Mindful mornings
Start your mornings away from technology for at least the first thirty minutes, exercise, journal and sip your coffee.
Tech detox
Intentionally get away from technology at some point during the day; it doesn’t matter for how long it’s the effort that counts.
Silent reflection
Spend a few minutes(5-10) in silence reflecting the state of your emotions.
Nature therapy

Being on the outside will clear up any fogginess you might be experiencing. Find a trail or a sidewalk and enjoy the silent walk.
Incorporating pockets of quietness in your life can make a huge difference.
