It was part of her Thank U Next album, and at the time, no one really batted an eye about it.

After all, that was the same album that Ariana shouted out her ex-boyfriends, graciously thanking them for dating her and fumbling her back in the day!

Some might argue that the song is cocky and conceited. Others will argue that it’s completely inappropriate, but still has its flirty charm.
One thing we know for certain? This song has certainly come back to haunt Ariana in the wake of her relationship with Ethan.
Third, Lilly Jay’s essay about her divorce from Ethan was scathing.
Lilly had a lot to say about the demise of her marriage with Ethan, and she spoke her mind in an open essay with The Cut.
The essay is titled, “How does my divorce make you feel? As a therapist I try to keep my personal life private. After my public split, that was no longer in my control.”
Lilly has built a career for herself as a clinical psychologist. She admitted that she never expected her life to take such a drastic turn.

While it’s true that Ariana has done her best to shut down the narrative that there was any overlap, the way Lilly spoke in her essay doesn’t flawlessly mesh with that story very well.
Fourth, Ethan described the emotions of falling in love with Ariana during his GQ interview.
Ethan is not shy about hyping Ariana up. In fact, it seems that he’s totally head over heels in love with the girl.
When he sat down for an interview with GQ, he gushed about her with loads of positive and lovey-dovey things on his mind.
He said, “Ari’s Ari, and she’s amazing. She’s a comedian who’s also got this crazy voice that can do anything. My unbiased opinion is that she’s one of the best comedians that’s been in a movie in a long time. She’s a genius.”
When Ethan was questioned about how it felt falling in love with Ariana while they were filming Wicked together, he responded by saying, “Obviously, it was a really super big year, and I think there was something that was really difficult about things in your private life being commented on and looked at by the public. There were a lot of big changes in private lives that were really happening, so it’s really hard to see people who don’t know anything about what’s happening commenting on it and speculating, and then getting things wrong about the people you love. So just to address that part of it, that feels really hard. But, of course, it was an amazing year and a really beautiful thing, and I’m just really excited. I’m just really, really proud of Ari and the work she’s done on this. She’s poured herself into it. Regardless of how fans believe Ariana might approach this, no one has seen the way she interacts with Ethan‘s child just yet, so this is all up for speculation.
Seventh, Ariana publicly vented about being misunderstood in her relationship with Ethan.
We can all remember Ariana’s interview on the Zach Sang Show where she revealed that it’s been frustrating to see what people have been saying about her and Ethan over the past year.
The singer got extra open and vulnerable about the situation and the way the public was so heavily scrutinizing her.
She said, “We selectively remember that this is what the tabloids do to people, especially women, based on whether or not we like the person. We selectively remember that. We selectively leave space for humanness, for nuance. Like, they don’t leave space for that, well, they do for their friends and their family. It’s selective. Tenth, Sources claim Ariana and Ethan are excited for marriage and kids together.
According to Life & Style, a source revealed that Ariana and Ethan are on the same page when it comes to wedding bells and babies in the future.
Since they’ve both already been married before, are they in any sort of rush to make it down the aisle?
