Will Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s relationship last following his teams embarrassing loss in the Super Bowl?

The Philadelphia Eagles beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX has brought the 2024 NFL season to a conclusion.

However, the start of a new season is now upon the Swifties.

Last summer, during the Eras Tour, Travis Kelce was a staple at Taylor Swift’s concert series and even joined her on stage for a performance.

Everything was going amazing, as the two were certainly still in the honeymoon phase.

While most honeymoon phases last roughly six months, it appeared as though Taylor and Travis were still flying sky-high with each other.

One of the main reasons for this is that the pair spent tons of time apart, due to both having incredibly busy schedules.

The summer months last year were essentially the first long stretches of time the duo were together.

However, this summer will likely be incredibly different for Taylor and Travis.

Last summer, the Chiefs were coming off their second straight Super Bowl and Taylor’s concert series was amazing.

Now, the pair is going to see each other when they’re down and out. Travis is coming off a humiliating game.

Travis also embarrassed Taylor, in the eyes of many fans, when he said he was honored at the chance to get to play in front of President Trump.

This came after Trump tweeted, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT.”

Fans wanted Travis to defend Taylor, but he shelled up and gave an NPC answer.

There’s no way that didn’t sting Taylor. On the flip side, Taylor was booed incredibly hard at the Super Bowl.

She seemed puzzled and even asked “What’s going on?” while the boos were raining down on her.

Taylor is used to being in places where she’s beloved and the ground she walks on is worshipped.

This will be the first time Taylor and Travis see each other while the other is down.

So, how can they keep a healthy relationship?

Are they even the right pair for each other? What are the odds they stay together? Let’s dive in. 

How will Taylor and Travis keep a healthy relationship?

No relationship is perfect, no matter how much the two people in it try to portray it.

There’s typically always something couples are working towards or working through.

One of the best ways to get through life with your partner is by going to therapy.

For Taylor and Travis, going to therapy isn’t a want, but a need.

For starters, their relationship has been under more scrutiny than most relationships in history.

There have been millions of people talking crap about them online.

Nobody can hide from being bombarded the way Taylor and Travis have been.

It wouldn’t be healthy for either of them to keep their thoughts and feelings bottled up.

They HAVE to talk about what’s going on and what’s been said about them to move forward.

If they don’t, then they won’t have the right tools to navigate the rest of their lives together.

There have also been countless people poking through their relationship, claiming it’s fake and only for publicity reasons.

Whether or not that’s true, hearing that you’re only with the person you’re with for publicity takes a toll on anyone.

While it’s true that tons of people have benefited from the relationship, that doesn’t mean it’s all for show.

Two people can love each other and still reap the benefits from it.

Speaking of love, there are tons of folks calling out Travis, claiming he doesn’t love, or even care about Taylor after his comments about Trump attending the Super Bowl.

We all already know the story, Trump tweeted, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” and when asked about Trump, Travis said that it’s an honor to play with him there.

Again, Taylor is only human. She clearly has feelings for Travis in some capacity.

Hearing the person you’re with talk up about someone who said they hate you has to hit home.

There are going to undoubtedly be some long nights in their household coming up as they two attempt to work towards finding a solution.

There’s also the matter of both parties seeing each other down and out for the first time.

Taylor’s tour officially came to a close. Somehow, she didn’t win a single Grammy Award.

She obviously still has plenty of stories to tell in her music, but it has to be challenging to be considered the best at your craft and not take home a single award.

There’s also something that feels odd about not selling out shows in front of 80,000 people on a nightly basis.

Taylor is likely feeling the come down from her tour. Travis just lost the Super Bowl, a game that his team was favored to win in.

Travis hasn’t had to deal with losing a lot in the last five years and hasn’t ever been a loser in big games since he’s been linked to Taylor.

It’s challenging to see your partner struggling and in a down state.

Now consider how low vibrational their house is with both of them feeling emotional and somewhat stuck until the next tour and season come around.

That’s not the type of energy you should want to surround yourself with.

No matter how you cut it, going to therapy is something Taylor and Travis have to do to keep their relationship on solid ground.

If they don’t, there’s a high chance the pair won’t make it beyond this summer. 

Are Taylor and Travis even right for each other?

There’s some debate now about whether Taylor and Travis are the right people for each other.

When the two first got together, everybody thought they made a great couple. Both are incredibly successful at what they do.

It was clear Travis was super high on Taylor and loved being around her. Swifties loved that Travis appeared to be supportive of Taylor and treated her like the gentleman she deserved.

Whenever the two were spotted in public, Travis took it upon himself to ensure Taylor was safe and always opened her door for her.

There were some skeptics at first, though, especially when it came to Travis.

Back in the day, Travis had been known to date women of color, which Taylor is clearly not.

Kayla Nicole and Maya Benburry, two of Travis’ most famous exes, didn’t resemble Taylor physically in the slightest.

It’s rare for people to change their type, especially when they are older than 30.

Travis already had a type physically, which there’s nothing wrong with. In fact, every successful relationship is based on two people finding each other physically attractive.

If a man isn’t attracted to a woman, he won’t pursue her. If a woman isn’t attracted to a man, she will reject his advances.

Travis talked about how impressive it was going to the Eras Tour show.

Travis might have been impressed by the athletic feat Taylor pulled off in each of her shows, but that shouldn’t be enough of a basis to go after someone who’s physically so different than what you’re accustomed to.

Speaking of physical looks, there have been different haircuts and facial hair looks Travis has attempted to pull off ever since linking up with Taylor.

While some folks think his new looks are part of his goofy personality, others believe it’s Taylor trying to make Travis look worse so that he doesn’t leave her.

Travis always had a sharp fade and perfect beard when he was with Kayla and Maya.

His look was always on point, as both ladies were incredibly confident in themselves.

They wanted Travis to look as good as possible, knowing it would boost his confidence as well.

Taylor might have tried to bring down Travis’ looks to keep him with her. This isn’t what two people who love each other do.

Aside from how the other looks physically, Taylor has made it known over the years she desires to be a wife.

While Travis has talked about wanting to have a family, something feels like he might not want to settle down quite yet.

He’s really enjoying his newfound fame, thanks to dating Taylor, and might not have marriage on his mind to the same extent as Taylor.

He’s going to retire from football in the near future, and will have an open schedule for the first time in a long time.

He’s likely going to want to make appearances and live his life. He’s perfectly entitled to do so, but just know that marriage is probably not the first thing that Travis wants.

Taylor needs someone who’s ready to settle down right now. She’s been through enough heartache to feel like she has to wait for Travis to be ready.

And who knows if that will ever be the case for Travis? He comes across as a guy who could have been married in the past if he wanted to but clearly isn’t interested in it. 

Will Travis and Taylor make it?

It’s now time to talk about the biggest question of all… will Travis and Taylor’s relationship last?

At the risk of giving a cop-out answer, this summer will be what decides it for them.

Most relationships have had at least some conversations about taking it to the next level by the second year.

Taylor was likely pressing Travis extra hard, given her well-known desire for marriage.

There’s also a high chance Travis was putting off this conversation with the excuse that he had to focus on the season.

While this is absolutely a valid excuse, we’ve reached the point where Travis doesn’t have to focus on football for a long time.

The “bill” is due for Travis. He and Taylor will have tons of talks about what a wedding and their overall lives would look like if they tied the knot.

Taylor will also have to talk about what her plans for music and touring are in the future.

Travis doesn’t seem like the type of person who would stand in the way of Taylor pursuing her dreams.

He’s only ever been supportive of her along the way so far. If Travis were to retire, he’d have tons of time on his hands.

What would he do to keep himself busy? He’s got a lot on his plate, but what if he wants someone who will be around at the end of every night?

It wouldn’t be fair to ask this of Taylor right now. She’s at the height of her powers and continues to put out excellent music.

Taking everything into account, from the way Travis talked about Trump to Taylor wanting to settle down ASAP, there’s a good chance the two won’t make it.

Travis and Taylor were a cute couple, but clearly aren’t right for each other. Travis hasn’t ever gone for girls who look like in the past.

Travis has a whole second career planned out for when he retires from football. Taylor will continue her music career.

She’s likely holding onto the pain of what Travis said about Trump.

It could have been a simple answer like, “He disrespected Taylor so he better not go near her whatsoever,” but it wasn’t.

This clearly shows where Travis’ head is at.

There’s a chance he only was with her to bolster his own image, which clearly worked, and will now move on with someone he finds more attractive than Taylor.

Should this be the case, it will be fascinating to watch how hard Swifties attack Travis and what happens to his image.

It will also cause chaos in NFL ratings, as Swifties brought a whole new level to the fandom and viewership in the NFL.

There’s a chance they could “hate watch” the Chiefs and all of the programs Travis is on.

Either way, this relationship hasn’t been on good legs for a while.

There have been multiple chances for it to regain footing, but something always seems to be in the way.
