I have great news for you: Meditation doesn’t have to be “sit with your legs overlapped, pin drop silence and zero thoughts!”
There’s a little something for all manifestors and anyone who can’t stand traditional meditation called.
Ever thought of walking meditation.
Pretty awesome right? Allow me to teach you everything you need to know about meditating while walking.
The benefits

Before we delve into how to do walking meditation here are the insane benefits:
- Mental clarity and stress reduction.
- Boost creativity, there’s plenty of great ideas that have been a fruition of walking meditation.
- Fosters a feeling of connection to nature and your general surroundings.
- Helps you to regulate your nervous system.
Amazing right? Moving forward here are…
The rules
Walking meditation is like that “cool kid” but now in meditation. There aren’t any strict rules, unlike traditional meditation, which btw makes some of us want to snooze 💤.
Here are the do’s:
- Be observant of your environment while walking, notice the air you’re breathing, spot any cool birds, notice a kid riding a bike and feel the euphoria, notice someone beeping the horn too loudly and curse them a little (positively).
- Try to be present as your feet shuffle.
- No rules, You can totally grab a bite as you go, unlike some other people’s, “traditional meditation.”
- Enjoy the walk.

The how…
- Pick a time that you would actually enjoy walking or be totally random with it.
- Pick your spot, whether it’s a local park, your backyard, a supermarket aisle, or a city sidewalk.
- Limit the distractions, no scrolling while meditating, and the music must also go.
- Breathe and walk with intention, Feel the weight of your feet, the shuffling, the air.
- Let your thoughts flow, Luckily for you, you don’t have to push your thoughts aside just observe them.
Are you up for some walking meditation? Because I sure as hell am.
