Are you one of those people who are either at work, hanging out with friends, or bored to death… Well, lucky for you, we have a solution that will change your life
A damn hobby. Or several…
Why do you need a hobby? Purpose. Life can often feel like a boring routine even sort of pre-written, but when you go along picking hobbies, you introduce an element of excitement.
Like, how excited we got as kids when we discovered a new rare rock or hide out.

The benefits of having a hobby or several
There are plenty of scientifically backed benefits of having a hobby but for the sake of time I will list a few.
- A healthy escape from the mundane.
- Reduces stress.
- Sparks creativity.
- A great way to be mindful and present.
- Fosters social connections when done with others.
- Gives you a sense of purpose.
- It’s a form of self-love.

How to find a perfect hobby match
- Ask your inner child: you might want to go back to the things that you loved to do as a child or you always wanted to try as an adult. If you are unsure, ask your childhood guardian.
- Follow curiosity: The mind always gives us little clues by sparking our curiosity. Pay attention; that might be your next hobby.
- Experiment: If a friend insists you attend a pottery class with them, do it, awaken that child-like wonder.
- Match your energy levels: Another way, is to find a hobby that matches your energy; if you love movement, how about a Zumba class?
- Ditch perfectionism: you will pretty much suck at something new, maybe even for a while but do it anyway.
Next time don’t complain that your life is uneventful. Find a hobby.
