Foodies are constantly on the search for their next meal. One of the best parts about this world is dining on various cuisines.
AHTI Games recently revealed which 10 cities around the world are the best to visit for food lovers.
Rome, Italy is NOT the number one foodie destination

While it might feel odd that Rome isn’t number one, given how delicious Italian food is, it’s not surprising to hear that Tokyo, Japan took home the top prize.
Japanese food, particularly sushi, seems to transcend borders like no other food.
London comes in second place, which also makes sense. It’s one of the most diverse cities in the world. Plenty of folks bring their native dishes to London.
Rome comes in third, with some of the most delicious pasta in the world.
Paris takes home the fourth spot, thanks in large part to dishes like croque monsieur. The french sure do know how to make a sandwich.
New York City, another super melting pot, rounds out the top five best cities for food lovers.
Check out the rest of AHTI Games’ list below.

Each one of these cities is known for cuisine that’s vastly different than the others.
This list was compiled by the “number of Michelin star restaurants, the cost of a mid-range three-course meal, the number of food festivals and culinary events, the number of cheap eats, mid-range, and fine dining restaurants listed on TripAdvisor, and the average ratings for top restaurants.”
