The finale that shocked just about everyone

Most people think that Dan being Gossip Girl was the most toxic thing he did.

For the time being, let’s talk about Dan being Gossip Girl.

Dan came from the trenches of Brooklyn and wanted to fit in with his classmates on the Upper East Side.

He felt so out of place that he decided to write himself into the mix.

He created a blog where people would send blasts, talking crap and revealing secrets.

He sent in his own blasts, dogging himself and his sister so that they would be accepted by their peers.

Dan ruined and destroyed tons of lives along the way. He wanted people to act toxically and tear each other down.

He felt like this was the only way he could make it in the world he so desperately wanted to be in.

The truth of the matter is that Dan could have made it by being a normal, kind person.

Instead, he tore down the people he emulated so that they were on his level.
