Nate and Catherine’s affair was chaotic AF

Throughout the show, Nate was known for was his affinity for older women.

Not just one or two years older, but old enough to be his mother older.

His first experience on Gossip Girl with a much older woman came in season two with Duchess Catherine Beaton.

Blair and Nate were broken up officially by that point, meaning Nate had the summer in the Hamptons to do whatever he wanted.

Instead of going after a girl his own age, Nate found his way to the Duchess to satisfy his needs.

Aside from the fact that she was so much older than him, the Duchess was also married.

Nate knew this going in and didn’t have a single care in the world for the man he might be hurting in the process.

Instead, as long as Nate got his rocks off, that’s all that mattered to him.

Nate and the Duchess’ inappropriate relationship ended, but not before Nate realized he was also attracted to older women.

Regardless of how you slice it, Nate shouldn’t have helped Catherine cheat. Cheating simply creates bad karma.
