Here are some celeb updates to keep up with at the moment based on some interesting headlines in the media.
Cardi B claps back against trolls, critics, and Offset
Cardi B has been using social media to clap back at her ex and all the trolls who’ve been hating on her online.
Offset and Cardi have been going through a very messy, public divorce.
She posted a thread on Instagram with a caption that said, “I was designed to win.”
And some fans are questioning if those words are meant for Offset regarding their current custody battle.
She also hit back against critics of her music career in a tweet writing, “7 years 1 album… STILL being a topic and STILL being asked about my music! I’m anointed and I have a real fanbase. They come and go but The Brim is still here and will stay!”
Cardi doesn’t hold back from speaking up for herself and she even called out Trump for deporting her uncle during a livestream last month!
The director of Avengers wants to cast Millie Bobby Brown
Even though Millie Bobby Brown is focused on snagging the role of Britney Spears in a biopic, the directors of Avengers are also obsessed with casting her for an upcoming Marvel movie.
Joe and Anthony Russo are the directors who openly expressed their interest in hiring Millie when they said, “Millie is on the list for every project. You just can’t ask for a bigger star right now. She’s somebody who’s passionate about the work… She’s just lovely, so yeah, we’ll put her in anything.”
Halle Bailey shows Rachel Zegler love
People are really pissed about Rachel Zegler playing Snow White since she isn’t white. It’s similar to the way a lot of people were pissed about Halle Bailey in the Little Mermaid.
Beyond the unrelated complaints that Rachel has an insufferable personality during interviews, racist people are just really annoyed that she doesn’t have white skin.
Rachel‘s comment section on IG is currently limited but her select friends can still show their love.
Halle left a public comment of support on one of Rachel‘s Snow White posts commenting, “Love you so so proud.“
We’d already heard that ariana grande had spoken up in support of rachel so some people were waiting and wondering if halle would also do that ahd she did
Zendaya’s half-sister drama
Zendaya‘s half sister is more than 20 years older than her, but she’s currently dragging Zendaya IN interviews.
She described Tom and Zendaya as a “odd couple“ saying, “he’s so short and she’s so tall. Other than that, I think he’s the one for her.“
Since Tom and Zendaya have both openly talked about how much they’re unbothered by their height difference, this was definitely something Zendaya‘s half sister should have kept her mouth shut about.
The lady also described an interaction she had with Zendaya in the past saying, “When I tried to talk to her, she gave me a one arm hug. It felt like I was just a fan.“
One sad detail is that when she tried to get in touch with Zendaya after her cancer diagnosis, she says that side of the family slammed the door on her. She says she went through chemotherapy by herself without help or support.
Zendaya has not responded to any of this stuff.
Sabrina Carpenter changed her lyrics to honor Dolly Parton
Dolly Parton just revealed that she only agreed to do the deluxe version of “Please Please Please” with Sabrina Carpenter if Sabrina agreed not to use any cuss words.
The original song has Sabrina calling her boyfriend a mother effer. She changed the lyrics to “I beg you, don’t embarrass me like the others.”
From the perspective of a creative who lives my entire life writing articles, poetry, creative fiction, social media content, and more, I’m a little annoyed that Sabrina couldn’t keep her original lyrics.
Cuss words aren’t classy, but I feel like Sabrina‘s use of mother effer in this song was perfectLY placed and should have been able to stay as is.
