Let’s cap the weekend off with another shadow work Sunday.

This week, we are going to talk about fixing your mindset to avoid making impulsive decisions.

We’ve all done it, too.

We see something we want and we just do it, without truly thinking of the implications.

Now, for small things like getting a piece of candy, who cares.

But, we can’t be making big impulsive decisions without thoroughly thinking them through anymore.

It’s beyond important to think about things before you act on them.

Let’s be real, though… This is a lot easier said than done.

After all, we are human beings. We experience emotions and feelings.

It’s hard to be stuck in a feeling and not do something major, especially when it feels like there’s no escape.

Instead of acting on the emotion right away, give it 24 hours.

If you’re still feeling some type of way, you can start preparing yourself to make the major change in your life.

Let’s talk about a job.

As much as you might want to, it’s not smart to quit without another plan in mind.

If your boss is driving you crazy, start putting yourself out there.

Research ways to make money while you find a new job, that way you can quit earlier.

Look at your budget and see what can be moved around so you can survive before landing a new position.

If you start to plan things out and not act on emotion alone, you’ll see more consistency in your life.

You won’t be as nervous as you are when you make a major impulsive decision and it doesn’t work.

What are your thoughts on impulsive decisions? Have you ever made one? Let us know in the comments.
