Commenting on the findings, a spokesperson for boohoo.com said,
“Choosing a party outfit is a decision that many of us undertake at some point, and it’s a dilemma that goes beyond individual style. Finding a dress that’s appropriate for the occasion and expresses personal taste while embracing the party spirit can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be.
“There are so many options available that come in every color imaginable, including the most routinely festive, such as green and red, as well colors more popular for spring and summer, such as pink and blue. Black and white are classics that are probably the most re-wearable, as well as the easiest to style in a multitude of different ways. Metallics, on the other hand, are dazzling and beautifully reflect the twinkle of party lights and decorations. If you want to opt for a more elegant look, burgundy, and other deep, jewel-toned shades are the way to go.
“Ultimately, there is no right or wrong color for a party dress, and the best shade is one that makes you feel confident. When choosing your outfit, remember that you will be able to enjoy the atmosphere and celebrations to their fullest potential if you’re wearing something that you feel comfortable in.”
