Dan settled for Serena knowing he really wanted Blair, and at this point, we can all admit it.

Season 6 of Gossip Girl rushed through Dan’s mourning process when he lost Blair and kind of forced him back into Serena’s arms.

Did he really want that?

We believe Dan settled… hard

Most folks watching Gossip Girl knew from the very beginning of the show that Dan and Serena were going to end up together.

The writers made that clear as day, even though the pair had a very realistic on-again-off-again type of relationship.

However, there are a lot of people in the world who feel as though Dan settled for Serena and really wanted Blair the whole time.

Serena was someone who life came easy to.

She didn’t have a true plan for what she wanted to do with her life.

Blair, on the other hand, was always driven and motivated to be successful.

Blair knew she had a leg up in the world, but she didn’t want to be the person who just sat around and did nothing.

Dan found this attractive in Blair and even tried to get Serena to find something she was interested in pursuing.

When it’s all said and done, everyone on the show ended up with who they were supposed to.

But there’s still a big question about how Dan and Blair would have faired in a long-term relationship.
