Excalibur Hotel and Casino is one of the most eye-catching spots on the Las Vegas Strip — partially shaped like a giant castle, it brings major fairytale-meets-fantasy vibes.

And while it’s known for being one of the more affordable resorts in Vegas, it also offers some unexpectedly fun experiences — especially for couples who want to skip the gambling but still enjoy their time together.

Here are five things my husband and I did (and loved) at Excalibur that are perfect for non-gambling couples looking for laughs, adventure, and a little bit of nostalgia.

1. Watch the Tournament of Kings show

If you or your partner are into Game of Thrones, medieval history, or just want a high-energy dinner show, Tournament of Kings is a must.

You get to eat with your hands (yes, really), cheer on your knight, and enjoy sword fights, horses, pyrotechnics, and a whole lot of drama.

It’s immersive, loud, and so much fun — especially for a date night that’s out of the ordinary.

2. Play like kids again at the Fun Dungeon Arcade

One of the best surprises inside Excalibur is the Fun Dungeon — a full-blown arcade that’s definitely not just for kids.

From air hockey and Skee-Ball to classic games and claw machines, we had a blast competing and goofing off together.

It’s a great way to unplug, be playful, and just enjoy each other’s company without spending a fortune.

3. Dine (and laugh) at Dick’s Last Resort

If you have a good sense of humor and don’t mind a little sarcasm, Dick’s Last Resort is unlike any other restaurant.

The whole vibe is chaos — the servers intentionally roast and tease you, and the menu is full of comfort food and cocktails.

It’s definitely not for the sensitive, but if you’re in the mood for something rowdy and different, this place delivers.

4. Watch sports at the Excalibur Sports Book

Okay, this one was definitely my husband’s pick — and it ended up being a good time.

We spent an afternoon watching March Madness basketball games at the Excalibur Sports Book, which is cozy and casual with a good setup for sports lovers.

Even if you’re not betting, it’s a chill spot to hang out, grab a drink, and catch a game together.

5. Satisfy your sweet tooth at Lick Candy Shop

No trip to Excalibur is complete without stopping by Lick, the candy shop filled with nostalgic treats, colorful sweets, and tons of Instagram-worthy displays.

I’ve got a major sweet tooth, and this was my happy place.

Whether you’re grabbing something for later or just window-shopping, it’s a fun little indulgence.

Excalibur may not be the flashiest resort on the Strip, but it’s full of quirky charm and low-key gems.

If you’re a couple who loves to explore, laugh, and make memories without spending time at the tables, this castle-shaped hotel has more than enough to keep you entertained.
