After returning from a long stay in Barbados, I found myself back in Las Vegas with mixed emotions. I was happy to be home, but I was already missing the vibrant, peaceful energy of the island.

I knew I needed to shift my vibration before those feelings pulled me into a slump.

So I decided to try something I hadn’t done in a while: intentionally tap into Lucky Girl Syndrome.

If you’re new to Lucky Girl Syndrome, it’s a viral manifestation method rooted in the belief that everything just works out for you.

It’s about walking in the energy of ease, abundance, and expectancy — trusting that the universe (or God) is constantly conspiring in your favor. And that’s exactly what I did.

That very week, I ended up manifesting three completely free things, all related to food — without asking or scheming. I didn’t beg. I didn’t feel guilty. I just stayed aligned. Here’s exactly what happened:

1. A free slice of pizza for a Yelp review 🍕

My husband and I stopped at a pizza restaurant to grab a quick bite. As I was sitting there, enjoying my slice, a manager approached me out of nowhere and asked if I’d like an extra slice of pizza for free — just for leaving a Yelp review.

There were plenty of other customers he could have asked, but he came straight to me. I smiled, said yes, left the review, and walked away with a bonus slice. Small win? Maybe. But it felt big — like the universe saying, “See? You’re in flow.”

2. A free cookie just for an unplanned shoutout 🍪

Later that week, I went to a cookie shop and posted a cute photo of the two cookies I bought. I tagged the business on Instagram, not expecting anything in return — I just genuinely loved the cookies.

To my surprise, the shop reposted my story and sent me a coupon in my DMs for a free cookie on my next visit. Just like that. A sweet treat for being sweet.

3. A surprise donut just because I asked 🍩

My third unexpected blessing came from one of my favorite donut spots. I ordered two flavors, and as I was getting ready to leave, I casually asked the employee his opinion on a different flavor I had never tried.

His eyes lit up — “That one’s my favorite,” he said. “You’d love it. You know what? Let me just give you one to try.”

Just like that, he added the donut to my bag, free of charge, simply because he was excited for me to experience his favorite flavor.

Here’s the truth about manifestation

The biggest misconception people have about manifestation is that we’re just sitting around wishing for magical things to fall into our laps.

That’s not it. Manifestation isn’t about being passive. It’s about alignment.

It’s about embodying the frequency of the life you want and showing up in the world with expectancy.

When I decided to shift my mood and intentionally walk in Lucky Girl energy, things started falling into place.

Not because I manipulated anyone or forced outcomes — but because my energy was open to receiving.

And here’s the most important part: People respond to your energy even when they don’t realize it.

Managers, business owners, and strangers are drawn to people who are in alignment. That’s why the man at the pizza shop came up to me.

That’s why the donut shop employee wanted me to try something new. That’s why the cookie shop slid into my DMs.

It’s not just about free food. It’s about the reminder that life can feel easy. That blessings are always swirling around you, ready to land. That the universe recognizes your energy shift — and matches it.

So if you’re going through a rough patch, feeling disconnected, or just want a sign that manifestation actually works, try this:

  • Wake up and say, “I’m so lucky. Everything always works out for me.”
  • Move through your day expecting good things.
  • Share your light and kindness without keeping score.
  • Watch what happens.

Alignment attracts abundance — even in the form of pizza, cookies, and donuts.
