Jason Hennessey, CEO of Hennessey Digital commented on the study findings:

“Disney characters have a lasting impact on popular culture, including having a heavy influence on what many expectant parents may choose to name their baby.

“It is a testament to the magnate that is the Walt Disney corporation that their marketing and their characters have stood the test of time with parents taking inspiration from the movies and it’s ancillary marketing efforts. Whilst Disney may not be the sole driving factor in the choice of a baby name, it certainly plays a big part as can be seen in the list, where more unusual names such as Aurora from Sleeping Beauty is undoubtedly the most popular iteration of the name in popular culture.”
