  • Teachers are in second place, while pilots are deemed the third-most attractive job type.
  • The study used AI to generate an image of each job title before running the created image through an attractiveness test. The jobs with the highest attractiveness scores then determined the final ranking.

New research has unveiled the most attractive careers in 2025, with doctors taking the top spot in the ranking.

Data collection experts at SOAX used AI to generate an image of each job title before inputting each photo through an attractiveness test, which then awarded each job with an attractiveness score out of 10.

The jobs with the highest average scores were then deemed the most attractive.

According to the data, doctor is the most attractive job title of 2025. The AI-generated image of the career sector received an average attractiveness score of 8.77 out of 10

It’s not just AI that decided that doctor is the most attractive job title. As reported by the New York Post, a recent survey deemed that those working in healthcare make the best romantic partners, with 29% of respondents dubbing the profession as the most dateable career.

According to data from Glassdoor, the average salary for a medical doctor in the US is around $203,000, demonstrating the correlation between ‘dateable’ careers and financial security.

Teacher is deemed as the second-most attractive job title, receiving an attractiveness score of 8.71 out of 10. The job also placed second in the recent New York Post survey, with 23% of respondents describing teaching as the most attractive career sector.

However, it was found that men are more likely to find teachers attractive than women. Similarly, the attractiveness test found that women working in teaching are more attractive than men in the same profession.

Pilots take the third spot in the ranking, with an attractiveness score of 8.70 out of 10. The job title is typically considered highly ‘dateable,’ largely due to an association with intelligence, travel opportunities, and financial security. Glassdoor data reveals that the average salary for an airline pilot is $132,000, highlighting the competitive salaries associated with the career.

Tinder survey found that ‘pilot’ is the most right-swiped job for men on the app, indicating the job’s widespread appeal in the dating world. However, the long hours, high stress levels, and irregular shift patterns associated with pilots may be seen as off-putting in reality

Real Estate Agent is found to be the fourth-most attractive job title in the ranking, receiving an average attractiveness rating of 8.50 out of 10. The career is often associated with charisma and high-flying salaries. According to Glassdoor, the average Real Estate agent earns a salary of around $99,000 in 2025.

Entrepreneur is also revealed to be the fourth-most attractive job in the study, with a score of 8.50 out of 10. On Tinder, profiles containing the word ‘entrepreneur’ were found to have the second-highest number of right swipes on the app.

Vet and therapist are found to be the fifth-most attractive jobs in the study, with both careers receiving an average score of 8.45 out of 10. A recent study by StandOut CV found that 79% of people on Tinder swiped right on profiles featuring ‘vet’ as a job title, highlighting the job’s appeal on dating apps.

Similarly, careers in psychology and therapy are often regarded as highly ‘dateable.’ According to data from Glassdoor, therapists in the US earn an average salary of $75,000 in 2025.

Accountancy is revealed to be the sixth-most attractive career sector, receiving a score of 8.40 out of 10. According to the New York Post survey, 16% of respondents described finance as the most attractive career sector. The Tinder study also found that financial-related careers, like financial advisors, placed within the top 15 most right-swiped jobs on the app.

Influencer is also identified as the sixth-most attractive job title with a score of 8.40 out of 10. According to recent data, social media influencers can now earn an average of up to $1,900 per post, demonstrating the career’s widespread financial appeal. Despite receiving a high score in this study, StandOut CV found that only 22% of people swiped right on Tinder profiles containing the word ‘influencer.’

According to the data, other attractive careers include IT managers and engineers

Interestingly, the study also identifies jobs like delivery drivers, retail workers, and fast-food workers among the most attractive, despite often receiving a bad reputation in the dating world. Those with careers in customer service and sales are required to be charismatic and welcoming, which are often regarded as attractive personality traits.

Meanwhile, dentistry was found to be the most unattractive career sector in the industry. The AI-generated image of the job only received an attractiveness score of 7.26 out of 10.

Other job titles that were deemed as ‘unattractive’ include journalists, personal trainers, and politicians.

Stepan Solovev, the CEO and Co-founder of SOAX, commented on the study:

“In the age of digital dating, job titles have become a significant factor when it comes to choosing a romantic partner. While this study is mainly based on physical appearance, the highest-ranking jobs are also some of the highest earning, creating an association with financial security.

“Recent data from the Census Bureau also demonstrates the correlation between jobs with higher-earning salaries and those with higher marriage rates. For example, those working in the healthcare profession have some of the highest marriage rates in the US, demonstrating the link between ‘attractive careers’ and competitive salaries.

“However, this study highlights that perceptions of attractiveness in different careers are often shaped by both financial and personality associations. For example, doctors and teachers score highly not just because of their professional status, but also due to associated personality traits like intelligence and trustworthiness.

“Interestingly, roles such as delivery drivers and retail workers also featured highly in the ranking, highlighting how charisma and approachability can be just as appealing as prestige or high salaries.”
