Let’s talk about Sydney Sweeney and the fact that she is forever embodying lucky girl syndrome and she’s probably never going to leave her lucky girl era.

Even if you aren’t the biggest fan of Sydney, she remains in her lucky girl era regardless.

She prioritizes her own self-interests

I believe Sydney is in her never-ending lucky girl era because she genuinely prioritizes her own self interest.

It might sound horrible and selfish to say, but prioritizing your own self interest is one of the most powerful things you can do if you really want to enter your lucky girl era.

A lot of people diminish their own power and magic by constantly worrying about everyone around them and the needs of everyone else.

If you’re constantly filling everyone else’s cup, but never filling your own cup, then you’re going to end up empty and depleted.

You’re going to end up feeling used and resentful. It feels good to show up for others and prioritize others, but lucky girls who maintain their lucky girl era prioritize their own self interest before pouring into others to make sure they are 100% set.

And I feel we saw evidence of this when Cindy ended her engagement to Jonathon Davino.

They started dating in 2018 and got engaged in 2022. But she broke off the engagement with him at the beginning of 2025.

We don’t know what happened behind closed doors or why exactly they decided to part ways, but based on what it looks like from an outsiders perspective, Sydney has chosen to prioritize herself and her own needs instead of moving forward in a relationship dynamic that maybe isn’t the best for her.

The PR answer we got from a source to People Magazine is that the split was based on Sydney‘s decision to become more career focused at this time.

And if that source is telling the truth, then I’m on the right track with my analysis.

It means Sydney is prioritizing her self interest in terms of her career as an actress instead of marrying someone who she doesn’t feel 100% sure about. another example of her prioritizing her self interest is her constant agreements to do brand deals dubbed as cringe.

She has agreed to do so many brand deals that people have labeled embarrassing, weird, or random.

And Sydney doesn’t seem to care about any of that criticism. She is all about collecting her bag.

She is all about making as much money as humanly possible. so if that means posing for Dr. Squatch soap for men, she’s clearly gonna do it. And let’s not forget the backlash she received for doing that Dr. Squatch brand deal.

She definitely rubbed some of her more feminist fans the wrong way with that one.

I personally wasn’t bothered by it even though I’m a feminist because I see no problem in women draining men’s bank accounts, if men want to spend money on perverted shenanigans.

I literally couldn’t judge her for a second over that.

But at the end of the day, she was criticized for it and she still did what she wanted to do because it was best for her.

She prioritized herself interest. Which is evidence to me that she’s going to remain in her lucky girl era forever.

Especially if she continues prioritizing herself interest, regardless of what her haters have to say.
