There’s no denying the fact that Halle Bailey has a lot going on in her career these days with her upcoming Disney movie Little Mermaid hitting theaters on May 26, 2023.

In fact, the exciting upcoming film was the inspiration behind rapper DDG’s slow-paced ballad “In Love With a Mermaid.”

DDG shared a quick clip of the heartfelt and romantic song with his fans and followers on Instagram on December 3, 2022. The lovey-dovey single includes lyrics: “I’ma love you from Thursday to Thursday / Not a human, I’m in love with a mermaid.” 

Not long before that, DDG shared an Instagram photo thread filled with pictures and videos of the time he recently spent at Disneyland with Bailey. He added a simple caption that said, “disneyland wit my twinn” along with a fingers crossed emoji.

In the photo thread, the young couple appeared to be comfortable and cozy together while enjoying a few different memorable rides.

Bailey shared a separate photo thread a few weeks before that wearing matching outfits with DDG in front of a full-length mirror. This time, Bailey was the one to refer to DDG as her twin. 

Things are definitely heating up for this couple because social media isn’t the only place where they’re showing each other love in the new year.

On January 21, 2023, Bailey walked the red carpet for the opening of Dubai‘s newest luxury hotel while holding DDG’s hand. Atlantis The Royal is the impressive new hotel that’s catching the curiosity of just about everyone.

Bailey’s affectionate time on the red carpet with DDG was enough to garner attention from onlooking paparazzi. Bailey looked flawless as ever, wearing an off-the-shoulder gown in a deep shade of brown.

It was made of ruched satin material with sleeves long enough to keep her arms covered. The rest of the dress was formfitting enough to show off all of her curves. 

DDG looked suave and charming in a solid black suit with no collared shirt underneath. His chain was visible over his chest tattoos.

Now that Bailey and DDG are getting more comfortable rocking with each other at red carpet events, it’s exciting to keep an eye out for what’s in store with their blossoming relationship.
