This is the week 15 update of my Semaglutide injections at ALX Aesthetics in Las Vegas.
I am 32 pounds down! So exciting. Ultimately I want to be 100 pounds down by my wedding day, which is in nine months.
ALX Aesthetics (run by nurse practitioner, Alex Viray) is changing my life.
Details about ALX Aesthetics and Semaglutide
To start my week 15 appointment off, Alex set me up on the Fit & Tone machine. It uses radio frequency for fat reduction. It feels similar to a hot stone massage.
After that, she switched the pads on the machine to make my belly feel like it was doing hundreds of crunches.
I’ll admit that it’s not the most comfortable feeling, but it’s nice to know that my body believes it’s getting somewhat of a workout while I’m simply laying down!
After that, Alex gave me my Semaglutide injection in my stomach. Since the needle is so tiny, I can never really feel it – which is a huge win for me. I hate needles.
Next, she gave me a B12 injection in my shoulder. It also had L-Carnitine in it to help my weight loss journey move along.
One thing I must add is that Alex has really been there for me with my needle phobia throughout this entire process.
I’m deathly afraid of needles, but with her, I’m not scared. It’s just not scary with her and I’m able to remain feeling at ease whenever I come to my weekly appointments.
She helps me feel comfortable and safe. I 100% want this excess weight off my body, so I’m taking a leap and facing my needle fears.
Alex is actively helping me get through it, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Lifestyle changes
Some of my significant lifestyle changes revolve around my diet and exercise regimen along with my appointments at ALX Aesthetics.
Most recently, I meal-prepped several Cobb salads filled with greens and protein. I’ve been snacking on high-protein, low-calorie items as well such as Premiere Protein shakes and Quest bars that only have 1 gram of sugar per package.
I signed up for a membership at a yoga studio called HOTWORX. Along with hot yoga, they also offer hot Pilates, hot spin, hot rowing, and many other exercise options inside infrared sauna rooms.
I’ve continued doing hot girl walks for at least 30 minutes a day most mornings. Not every morning, but most.
I started doing hour-long hikes in the Mt. Charleston area with my fiancé once a week to get out into nature.
Since I work from home, it makes sense for me to get work done on my desk bike. That’s something else I try to implement as often as possible.
While getting work done on my desk bike, my legs are constantly moving.
I completely cut off sugar now that I’m taking my Semaglutide injection seriously.
When it comes to carbs and bread, I eat the low-carb version of bread and tortillas. I still want to always enjoy bread and tortillas, but the low-carb version of everything is what I’m leaning into.
Being on Semaglutide makes it easier for me to make switches like that. I’m not eating for pleasure anymore and I’m not eating for emotion anymore.
I’m eating to fuel myself and I’m eating to reach my wedding day goals. Semaglutide is helping me keep a clear mind in order to get there.
I’m beyond grateful to Alex Viray from ALX Aesthetics for doing everything she can to help me get to my goal.
