If you’re newly single, it might be a great time to shift focus to your closet.

Turn that thing upside down and create three piles of items. One pile should be filled with the items you absolutely love and adore.

The second pile should be filled with things you plan to sell or donate. You can list the items in your donation pile for sale on one of those seller/buyer apps, or you can simply drop everything off at a charitable center.

The third pile should be filled with things that belong in the trash because you haven’t worn them in such a long time – or they remind you of your ex.

Once you’ve freed up some space in your closet, you’ve created space for new and better clothes. It’s time to upgrade your style.

Re-invent yourself with new clothes

Becoming single means you have a chance to sort of re-invent yourself in a way. You never have to dress like the person who dated your ex.

You can dress like the type of person who wouldn’t even give your ex a second glance on the street if you could go back in time and do things over again.

Upgrading your style does NOT have to be a bank-breaking experience. Most online boutiques sell cute items for $10 or less. Most thrift stores are the same.

If you care about designer products on a serious level, do your thing! No one is slowing you down. But if you’re simply looking to upgrade your style for a glorious post-breakup glow-up, you can pull that off at an affordable rate.

New lashes, nails, hair, and clothes will make anyone feel like a baddie who’s moved on with her life. Or at least a baddie who’s putting in the work to move on with her life.

Let’s rewind back to a popular phrase that actually means so much more than you’d guess on the surface: Dress for the life you want, not the life you have.

You deserve a life filled with blissful moments, happy memories, and pure joy.

You don’t deserve a life littered with low self-esteem, regret, and bad memories. Revamping your look and upgrading your style is a step in the right direction.
