There is nothing even slightly humorous about faking a proposal to someone you supposedly care about.

A woman shared her story on Reddit, breaking down the heart-wrenching moment when her boyfriend of FIVE years faked a proposal.

She explained that he’s always been a prankster, which had never been an issue before. Up until his fake proposal, they always had a healthy and stable relationship.

Unfortunately, he took things too far by planning out an elaborate day starting at seven in the morning that included a visit to the spa, a fancy restaurant, and an engagement ring jewelry box.

When he got on one knee and propose to her, she was ecstatic! At that moment, she agreed to marry him.

When he opened the box, all that lay inside it was a note that said, “You’ve been pranked!”

While her boyfriend started hysterically laughing about his prank, she was filled with too much rage to find any of it amusing.

She slapped him across the face and told him the relationship was over.

People commenting on the Reddit thread have agreed with her that his actions were disgusting, disturbing, and unacceptable.

Some have even labeled him as someone with narcissistic tendencies… because who could be so cruel?

She confirmed that the relationship is still over and that she has been searching for a new apartment to move into.

To make matters worse, her ex-boyfriend’s mother attacked her by calling her “selfish” and a “slut” for being unable to take a joke.

It looks like she is dodging an immense bullet by walking away from this relationship now instead of wasting another five years of her valuable time.
