Taylor Swift has been sort of a mentor to Olivia Rodrigo since she was a Disney star.
When Olivia’s debut single “Driver’s License” charted at number three on iTunes (below two of Taylor’s songs) Olivia shared a screenshot to Instagram and wrote, “Next to Taylor on the us i tunes chart i’m in a puddle of tears.”
Taylor reciprocated by commenting on the post, “I say that’s my baby and I’m proud.”
So where did things hit a snag between these two talented singers?

When Olivia first released her latest single, “Vampire” listeners initially speculated it was about her ex, Adam Faze.
Maybe that isn’t the case, though. A source revealed to People that, “The song isn’t about Adam Faze.”
Fans now are starting to wonder if the lyrics referring to a “bloodsucker” are actually about Taylor – and not a guy at all.
So what exactly happened between Taylor and Olivia?
According to YouTuber Maddison Hill, Olivia hinted that they’re not on “good terms” because since Olivia has yet to make time for Taylor’s Eras tour.
Olivia spoke with the New York Times on August 24, 2023, simply saying, “I haven’t yet,” when asked if she’d made it to one of the shows.
She quickly added that she’d been busy globe-trotting. “I’m going to Europe this week,” she explained.
Olivia and Taylor have been friends since 2021, when she claimed that the “Shake it off” singer was her biggest inspiration.
It’s unclear how true the rumors of their feud are.
