Staying safe on date #1 with a new romantic prospect should be your top priority.
Unfortunately, women aren’t always the safest when we put ourselves out there in the world of love.
Kasper Sky revealed that more than half of online daters have dealt with some shady sh** at least once while trying to pursue romance.
More specifically, “55% have experienced some form of threat or problem while dating online.”

Don’t let your date pick you up
Chasity’s first piece of advice? Never let them pick you up on a first date. They shouldn’t know where you live or what your exact address is before you’ve even met them in person.
Some might say it’s chivalrous to expect your date to pick you up, but save that sentiment until you’ve gotten to know them better.
Keep an eye on your drink
Chasity says, “This might be obvious for most, but don’t leave your drink unattended.”
She’s absolutely right. No matter how nice your date seems to be, they could have ulterior motives.
It takes a second or two for your date to discreetly drop something into your drink, potentially turning you into their perfect victim.
Avoid total intoxication
Chasity advises against getting way too drunk on a first date. Stay composed. Handle yourself well. Know your limits.
On top of keeping yourself safe through sobriety, you’ll also come across as a much classier human being.
Dip if he doesn’t respect your boundaries
Showing off your friendlier side no longer matters in a scenario where your boundaries are being disrespected.
Chasity says to get up and get out if your date seems annoyed by any boundaries you’ve given.
An example? If you’ve already politely said you don’t plan on kissing them during the first date, they MUST respect that.
If they continually or aggressively try to convince you to give into their unwanted affection, make your exit right away.
Find your own way home
Chasity outright says, “Don’t accept a ride home from him.” This is probably the most serious rule of all to follow.
If you had a few alcoholic beverages and absolutely can’t drive yourself home, call a friend or family member to pick you up. Or book yourself an Uber/Lyft.
Some men get very aggressive toward the end of a date because they’re expecting things to progress to the next level… sexually.
This reality becomes even more true if they have a mentality that says they’re entitled to your body after investing their money on a date.
What you’d consider to be an innocent ride home can turn into something very scary based on whatever expectations your date has concocted in his mind.
