Many famous celebrities have dealt with stalkers over the years, and Taylor Swift happens to be one of those people.

Unfortunately, the talented singer-songwriter dealt with an incredibly scary situation earlier this summer.

Details on the creepy man who was stalking Taylor Swift

According to CNN, a man in Indiana was finally charged with stalking Taylor on June 2, 2023.

His name is Mitchell Taebel, and he’s the definition of a creep.

His charges include stalking, invasion of privacy, harassment, and intimidation. His Laporte County Jail records are open to the public.

Mitchell started sending daunting messages to Taylor in March 2023. The messages continued through May.

He did his best to get through to Taylor by sending messages to members of her management team.

On March 29, things got extremely volatile when he sent a voice memo to Taylor on Instagram claiming that he’d “happily wear a bomb if he cannot be with his soulmate.”

On top of sending terrifying messages to members of Taylor‘s management team, he also reached out to some of her dancers and her father.

Mitchell was added to the security threat list, which should have made it impossible for him to purchase tickets or enter her Nashville show.

Unfortunately, he was still able to snag a ticket through a third-party company so he could enter the stadium where she was performing.

Taylor‘s security team spotted him and removed him from the venue right away.

He was served a restraining order on May 13, 2023.

No celebrities should feel like they’re in danger at any time. It’s incredibly sad that this is something Taylor has to deal with.
