Much-needed dating advice
Zoey says, “If you guys have been talking for more than three months and they refuse to put a title on it, stand up, dry your tears, and go find someone that’ll commit.
“If somebody actually wants you, you will not be confused. They’ll make it clear. If somebody blatantly tells you that they’re not ready for a relationship, believe them the first time.
“When someone says a statement like that and you try to sway their decision… they will come to their senses and realize [they are not doing what makes them happy…]”
Zoey goes on to explain that no one should be placed on a pedestal in your life. You shouldn’t romanticize people by starting to believe they’re above you in any sense of the word.
We are all human beings, which means we are all flawed.
Another hot tip from Zoey is that other people won’t automatically know how to love you.
You have to learn how to communicate your needs in order to be loved the way you want to be loved. You can’t expect the person you’re interested in to be a mind reader.
She goes on to discuss other subjects such as trust issues, communication struggles, and the dangers of putting all of your eggs in one basket.
It’s OKAY to live for love, but the best thing you can do for your mental health is to stand up for yourself and watch your back in the world of dating.
