TikToker @ThatSlavicLady shared a video explaining some traditional Slavic advice for women to tune into when deciding on a husband.
Slavic advice says the man should be MORE in love
According to relationship advice from traditional Slavic elders, the man should always be more in love with his female partner than she is with him.
@ThatSlavicLady explains, “You should marry a man that loves you more. He should love you more and he should be the obsessed one.”
She goes on to explain that while some people believe the obsession should be mutual or that it’s perfectly fine for the woman to be more in love, romantic relationships don’t always stand the test of time if they’re set up that way.
@ThatSlavicLady notes that you don’t have to sacrifice how attracted you are to your partner in order to achieve this.
You can still be totally enamored by your man and head over heels in love with him.
This advice simply means that the level of love he has for you is at least a smidge higher than whatever you’re feeling.
Her reasoning for this is that whoever is more obsessed, even if it’s ever so slightly, will typically continue pursuing the other person throughout the course of the relationship.
Unless you want to feel like you’re constantly pursuing the man you’re with (well into your marriage), it makes sense to marry someone who’s more obsessed with you.
