We already know that cowgirl-core is a “thing” right now when it comes to trends, but what does that mean for your makeup routine?

It’s easy enough to follow the fashion trends of cowgirl-core when it comes to your clothing choices, but makeup is a little more complicated.

Here’s what you should know if this is a make up aesthetic that’s on your radar.

Cowgirl-core makeup tips

We have Beyoncé‘s Renaissance World Tour and Margot Robbie’s rendition of a pink cowgirl in the 2023 Barbie movie to blame for cowgirl-core makeup right about now.

Taylor Swift should also be added to this conversation! She’s been absolutely killing the game during her Eras Tour across five continents.

During the earlier days of Taylor’s career, she was always rocking cowgirl hats and strumming songs on her guitar.

Cowgirl-core makeup is all about using neutral tones to create glamorous results.

Even though you’re only dabbling with shades of tan, cream, and brown, cowgirl-core makeup is never boring and always breathtakingly extravagant.

TikToker @a_d_makeup showcased her own version of cowgirl-core makeup in a viral video.

In the nine-second sped-up clip, she dabbed primer, concealer, and bronzer onto her facial skin.

Her eyeshadow stayed simple and easygoing with a shade of tan with brown eyeliner. She curled her natural lashes without adding any faux strips.

She labeled the look “coastal cowgirl,” and looked absolutely fabulous when showing off the final result.

Keeping your color scheme as neutral as possible is key here. Avoiding bright and eccentric colors and super long fake lashes is also crucial.
