When Game of Thrones was still airing, Emilia Clark and Kit Harington were household names.

Entire families were enthralled by the tragic love story between Queen Daenerys Targaryen and her steady knight Jon Snow.

But what did the actors really think of their racy, explicit, medieval romance?

“A runaway train: You can’t stop it from happening.”

In the seventh season of Game of Thrones, against their better judgment, Daenerys and Jon couldn’t help to fall into each other’s arms and embrace in bed together.

While both characters had every reason not to, they gave into their deepest desires in one of the most emotionally charged scenes of the series.

This hot and spicy scene was the talk of every social media, from Twitter, to Facebook, to even MySpace.

But what did the actors (who had to play the very intimate scenes themselves) think of the romance?

In a behind-the-scenes video, Emilia and Kit were needless to say not as into it as their characters were.

“For us, just actors, it’s just weird,” says Emilia, gagging at the mention of the scene. Kit similarly couldn’t hold himself together while filming.

While their reactions are certainly more negative than you expect, the two actors admit that while the characters too know it was wrong and cause problems, there was just so much chemistry between them that it became unavoidable.

In Kit’s words, “It’s like a runaway train: You can’t stop it from happening.”

Kit and Emilia have both moved on beyond the days of playing Khaleesi and Jon, which means sex scenes between these two likely won’t be happening again!
