Zendaya, the acclaimed actress known for her versatility and talent, recently opened up about the peculiar focus on her kissing scenes in media coverage.
In an interview on “Jake’s Takes,” Zendaya, (27), expressed her bewilderment at the disproportionate attention paid to these aspects of her performances.
“It’s very odd,” Zendaya remarked when questioned about the media’s fixation on her kissing scenes.
“I have no idea [why]. I don’t know if it’s because they want it to be a viral thing, but I have noticed that — with me, specifically.”
Zendaya’s candid response sheds light on the scrutiny faced by actors and actresses, particularly when it comes to intimate scenes on screen.
The actress stars in the Dune sequel as Chani, and a lot of the film centers around her relationship with Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet.

However, despite there being much to discuss about the movie, a recurring theme throughout Timothée and Zendaya’s promotional interviews for the film was their onscreen romance and whether they found it weird to kiss.
While acknowledging that such scenes are a normal part of her job, Zendaya reflected on the peculiar fascination with her own experiences compared to her peers.
The actress also addressed misconceptions surrounding her upcoming film Challengers, directed by Luca Guadagnino.
Despite the suggestive nature of the trailer, Zendaya clarified that the film doesn’t feature explicit sex scenes as some might expect.
She emphasized that while the movie is undeniably sexy, it explores intimacy in a nuanced and understated manner.
In the movie, Zendaya portrays Tashi, a tennis star entangled in a complex love triangle. This role marks a departure from her previous teenage characters, showcasing her range as an actress and her commitment to challenging herself creatively.
