When it comes to self-growth and personal development, what steps are you taking to see differences unfold in your life?
On Shadow Work Sunday, here are five things you should be holding yourself accountable for, even though these things might be difficult to face.
Your healing journey

Even though someone else might’ve come along to hurt or wreak havoc in your life, it’s still your job to pick up the pieces and heal.
It sucks because it’s NOT your fault someone else hurt you, but you can’t allow the pain they caused to fester and turn you into a bitter human being.
Your level of self-respect
Respecting yourself is always something that comes natural if you’ve been living in a state of guilt or shame for past mistakes and regrets.
You can raise your level of self-respect by forgiving yourself for the past and living in the present moment.
Your personal boundaries
It’s up to you to take control of your personal boundaries. If someone infringes in your boundaries, it’s also your job to speak up about it.
If you let things slide after establishing boundaries, people will treat you like you’re a doormat.
Your willingness to say “no”

How willing are you to say “no” to something that makes you uncomfortable or doesn’t fit into the vibe of your day?
You have to hold yourself accountable for every “yes” you give others based on whatever people pleasing tendencies you might be struggling with.
Your ability to prioritize your needs
Instead of worrying about making everyone else happy, are you taking care of yourself and making sure all of your needs are met?
If not, this is something to start working in right away. You should never feel guilty for prioritizing your needs.
