“Come and Get It” was written by a group of talented lyricists, and in their minds, Rihanna was the singer who was supposed to snag the song.

Ester Dean, Mikkel S. Eriksen, and Tor Erik Hermansen are the individuals who banded together to co-write “Come and Get It” with all of its catchiness.

Rihanna passed on the track for reasons unknown.

What we do know for certain is that Rihanna‘s decision to turn her back on it is why it landed on Selena’s beautifully epic Stars Dance album.

“Come and Get It” was such a big song for Selena that she used it as the first single for the entire album that year.

It reached the sixth spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, which is pretty impressive if you ask us.

Despite how things could’ve been had Rihanna chosen to record this song, both musicians have gone on to have massively successful careers.
