Some fans of House of the Dragon are convinced that Alient has had a crush on Rhaenyra all along since childhood.

The big reason for this assumption is that Alicent got really angry and emotional when she heard a rumor about Rhaenyra having sex for the first time.

Many people believe Alicent only got his angry as she did because she was jealous based on looming romantic feelings she has for Rhaenyra.

If this is true, there’s a chance Alicent still has romantic feelings for Rhaenyra that have lingered into their adulthoods.

Now, we know that Rhaenyra is open-minded to the idea of sleeping with a woman because we saw her share a super passionate makeout session with Mysaria.

So, is it possible that Rhaenyra will eventually end up with Alicent instead?

The floodgates have opened for a lesbian romantic connection between Rhaenyra and Alicent now that we know Rhaenyra could possibly be down for it.

When they were younger, Alicent was possibly unable to admit her true feelings based on shyness and fear.

Now that they’re older, there’s a chance it could be easier for her to express how she really feels.

Some people believe the only reason Alicent started hooking up with Criston Cole is because she wanted to be touched by someone who once had the opportunity of touching Rhaenyra, simply because she knew it would be the closest she would ever actually get to sleeping with Rhaenyra herself.

Others note how bored Alicent looked while she was in bed with Rhaenyra’s father, Viserys, even though he was her husband.

So, who would be a better match for Rhaenyra if it came down to a decision between Alicent and Mysaria?

Plenty of people can agree that both of these women can’t exactly be trusted in Rhaenyra’s life.

Alicent comes from House Green with loyalties lying in the wrong place. She’d rather see one of her sons become king then see Rhaenyra as queen.

Others widely believe that Mysaria is an opportunist who’s only down to get intimate with Rhaenyra for her own self interests to possibly see herself promoted to a higher position of power.

Either way, there are definitely knocks against both women when it comes to Rhaenyra’s best interest.

As far as their positive traits go, Alicent has a lot of history and childhood memories with Rhaenyra, which means a romantic connection between the two of them could be sublime.

By that same token, Rhaenyra is fully aware that Mysaria is the reason her life was saved on the night Arryk tried to kill her. Mysaria definitely had Rhaenyra’s back when she spoke up with a warning.
