Living life as a digital nomad depends on what country you’re originally a citizen of, where your passport is from, and where you’re moving from.

For example, if you’re a U.S. citizen looking to do this, you can.

However, you’ll still have to pay federal taxes in the United States. These are a couple of countries where digital nomads should consider relocating.

Montserrat

The Caribbean is a common theme for countries that offer a tax-free digital program. Another island that’s known for being incredibly safe is Montserrat.

It has a safety index of 93.38 out of 100. This tiny island has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, where millions travel each year.

However, there are two catches. You must earn $70,000 per year and you need a clean criminal record.

The visa is good for two years, and then you’ll have to pay taxes after that. Montserrat has an average monthly cost of living of $1,172.

The digital nomad visa in Greece is perfect for anyone who wants to explore Europe for six months while still working.

It’s important to always double-check the standards for getting this visa in Greece, though.

Since it’s part of an ever-changing European economy, their standards have been known to fluctuate frequently.

However, as of February 2024, there are no taxes digital nomads have to pay. If you live in Greece, expect to pay around $874 per month in expenses.

Would you relocate to either of these places? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
