It’s not easy pulling off a great TV series. Especially one pulled out from a novel. Most series fail from the start.

But for the Game of Thrones, it was never too much.

Forget about the dragons and the settings. For a moment, let’s place the spotlight on Emilia Clarke‘s wigs.

Emilia’s bright blonde wigs were complete eye magnet that’s definitely one of the best appeals in the series.

Daenerys Targaryen’s hair is as strikingly beautiful as Emilia herself.

It’s no wonder it’s hard to identify Emilia without the hair, even when she’s not playing Daenerys. Yet, it’s the part where Emilia named her multiple Game of Thrones wigs that’s had us hooked. 

In an interview with The Times, the British actress revealed a secret about her character and how she’s managed to keep every fan reeled in since the series debuted in 2011.

Emilia confessed she nicknamed the wigs that helped her transform her into Daenerys. There’s Candice, Blondie, Diva, and Dany.

The awarding-winning actress revealed it takes about four wigs to get that fearless Daenerys look that give the series oomph.

But the backstage process is not as easy as you might think. First, they’d have to cover her lock of dark brown hair with a bald cap before throwing on the wig. 

But the stitching is where it gets even more twisted. And Emilia may have understated some facts.

According to her hair designer Kevin Alexander, it took seven wigs and two-and-a-half months to achieve that signature look that we’ve come to adore.

Although the series is all wrapped up, it’s hard to skip by that look and character anywhere. The detail given to the hair is admirable and we cannot thank the stylists enough for building a character that will last the ages.
