Who would Selena Gomez pick to be her bridesmaids?

While it’s true that Selena doesn’t officially have an upcoming wedding yet since an announcement about an engagement to Benny Blanco hasn’t come to the surface, fans are still speculating about what a wedding day between Selena and Benny would really look like.

Here’s a breakdown of five girls we could totally see Selena choosing for bridesmaids, and five girls she’d likely never pick.

Bridesmaid pick: Taylor Swift.

Could it get any more obvious? Taylor and Selena‘s friendship is tried and true. Selena asking Taylor to be one of her bridesmaids makes all the sense in the world. Some of the selfies they’ve shared with each other on social media have been super cute and sweet to see. Their mutual respect and support for each other is admirable.

Not a bridesmaid pick: Demi Lovato.

Selena and Demi used to be BFFs, but they haven’t been close in a long time. Demi outright said “I’m not friends with her“ when speaking with Harper‘s Bazaar about Selena in 2020. That being said, it’s highly unlikely Selena would ask Demi to be one of her bridesmaids.

Bridesmaid pick: Raquelle Stevens.

Some of Selena’s fans don’t love Raquelle because they don’t believe she’s inherently one of the nicest people out there after seeing the way she interacts with Selena in episodes of Selena + Chef. Still, Selena seems to consider her a trusted confidant and ally. For that reason, It’s safe to assume Raquelle would be an easy pick for Selena as a bridesmaid.

Not a bridesmaid pick: Francia Raisa.

One of the most unfortunate friendship drama stories to surface was the awkward demise of Selena and Francia‘s friendship. That’s because Francia donated one of her kidneys to Selena in 2017. In 2023, Francia described their friendship as “rocky,“ but made sure to note that it “had nothing to do with the kidney.” Selena posted a birthday shot out for Francia on Instagram in 2023, but Francia never liked it, commented on it, or reposted it. It’s possible Selena would pick Francia as a bridesmaid, but it might be more unlikely than anything else.

Bridesmaid pick: Cara Delevingne.

Selena is currently filming episodes of Only Murders in the Building alongside Cara. They play on-screen love interests, which is a total twist that many viewers were surprised to see. Cara is a stunning model and actress who could easily stand in as one of Selena’s bridesmaids. Selena told ET Canada that she enjoys working with Cara saying, “It didn’t feel like we were working. We had a great time and I felt like it was super organic and she did a fantastic job.”

Not a bridesmaid pick: Hailey Bieber.

It’s pretty obvious Selena would never choose Hailey to be one of her bridesmaids since they were in such a messy love triangle dynamic with Justin Bieber for so many years. In the end, Hailey married Justin, and Selena released the heartbreak ballad “Lose You to Love Me” in response. Hailey was accused of bullying Selena on social media after Selena posted her over-laminating her eyebrows as well. To this day, it doesn’t seem like a possibility for friendship between them will ever exist. Therefore, Hailey would never be a bridesmaid.

Bridesmaid pick: Vanessa Hudgens.

Can you picture Vanessa as one of Selena‘s bridesmaids, because we sure can! Selena and Vanessa worked together on the edgy movie Spring Breakers in 2012. The stunners have remained on friendly terms since then.

Not a bridesmaid pick: Kylie Jenner.

There’s no way in hell Selena would ever ask Kylie to be one of her bridesmaids. That’s because although there was once a time in history when Kylie and Selena were cool with each other back in 2014, things took a negative turn for them after that. Especially regarding the over laminated eyebrows drama that Hailey Bieber was also part of. Plus, Kylie and Selena both launched makeup lines that are constantly in competition against each other.

Bridesmaid pick: Miley Cyrus.

There used to be drama between Selena and Miley since they were both interested in dating Nick Jonas. But since then, Selena and Miley have embarked on an awesome friendship that literally has nothing to do with Nick! They’ve both grown, matured, and evolved. The friendship between Miley and Selena is stronger than ever these days. They’ve even been in attendance at each other’s birthday parties! For this reason, we can totally picture Miley as one of Selena’s bridesmaids.

Not a bridesmaid pick: Bella Hadid.

Last but not least, another obvious choice for someone who would never be one of Selena‘s bridesmaids would be Bella. They were in a messy love triangle dynamic with The Weeknd in the center for a while there. Selena spoke highly of Bella in 2023 saying, “I wish I was as pretty as Bella Hadid” in a TikTok caption. But ultimately, even though Bella and Selena both didn’t end up with The Weeknd, a genuine friendship between the brunette beauties never blossomed.
