Are minimalists leading happier lives than the rest of the hoarding human population?
Well, they seem to be.
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, minimalism is a technique that involves extreme spareness and simplicity.
Now, what comes to mind when you think of minimalism? Monks? An empty apartment?

Tiktoker Kylie Perkins will shed light on why you should go minimalist and how this could completely alter your life for the better.
Kylie says that she chronically struggled with clutter to the extent that she got overwhelmed when it came to doing the dishes and laundry in her household.
It was super horrible that she even felt shame for thinking that she was lazy.
She says that clutter caused her so much anxiety and stress, and honestly, most of us can relate.
We always tend to think we need so much.
New pots, every shiny little house decor, every new line of clothing.
In our heads, it seems so necessary, and we even think it will make us feel better.
Until it begins to overwhelm us.

Kylie explains that her deep-seated need to own so many things stemmed from the fact that she was a homeless teenager and lived in shelters as a child.
Her poor background led her to believe that she couldn’t refuse any hand-downs because the opportunity might not show up again, despite being a financially stable adult.
Does your over-materialism stem from a place of fear? We suggest some introspection.
After decluttering her home, Kylie quickly noticed that she had to clean fewer dishes and minimal laundry, and she felt less overwhelmed.
She’s a huge advocate for leading a minimalist life, follow her on TikTok @Kylie Perkins to get inspired.
Before we part ways, be honest with yourself? Do you need most of the things in your home? Do you need the next item you want to purchase?
It’s time we all start to embrace minimalism for the sake of our mental health, wellness, and pocket.
