Isn’t it funny how self-gratitude is often misconstrued for “arrogance” and “selfishness.”

Today, we are here to tell you that there’s a clear line between gratitude and being overly self-absorbed.

Allow us to teach you how to actually show gratitude to and for the most important person in your life.

You.

Self-gratitude is all about appreciating your efforts, your strengths, and your growth.

Contrary to society’s opinion showing gratitude to yourself is an act of emotional intelligence and maturity.

Why you should totally appreciate “you”

  • You will feel more confident.
  • It will improve the quality of your relationships, work, and overall life(pour from a full cup).

How to practice self-gratitude

Shift your mindset

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating who you are as a person.

We grow up with a culture that discourages us from holding space for ourselves, and we are called show-offs if we do.

But if you don’t celebrate yourself who will?

Celebrate your small wins

Begin to celebrate only the little things that you know you accomplished.

It could be something as simple as making your bed.

Even better is when you write three small wins each night.

Re-parent yourself

This is one of our favorite personal growth concepts.

Talk to yourself the way you would to a child.

We always cheer on our children in the smallest and biggest achievements and do the same for you.

Here’s a little something to digest: true gratitude and kindness start from within.

You shouldn’t try to give the world something you can’t show yourself.
