Here are some interesting and attention-grabbing celeb updates to keep up with this week.
Katy Perry disappoints her diehard fans with space visit
Katy Perry has unfortunately disappointed fans and feminists everywhere by going to space for 11 minutes along with Jeff Bezos’s fiancé and Oprah Winfrey’s bestie.
Katy tried to represent a feminist message with the song “Woman’s World” but it wasn’t well-received and it debuted at the number 63 spot on Billboard.
Now, people are even more frustrated over the 11-minute space flight she took because it looks like she’s become completely out of touch with what it truly means to embody feminine strength and empowerment.
She’s also out of touch regarding the financial strain, suffering, and recession depression that millions of Americans are facing right now.
As someone who personally grew up listening to girl power anthems from Katy like “I Kissed a Girl” and “Part of Me,” I can definitely admit, I’m a bit disappointed.
Kylie Jenner receives praise while co-parenting with Travis Scott
Fans of Kylie Jenner are praising her maturity for allowing her seven year-old daughter Stormi to watch Travis Scott perform at Coachella with Kendall Jenner and Fai Khadra, while Kylie dipped off to spend time with Timothee Chalamet away from the show.
Kylie and Travis‘s relationship might not have worked out, but that doesn’t mean she’s ever going to get in the way of her children enjoying his music or his live performances.
Kylie’s big sister Kim Kardashian has proven to be a great example of this, always encouraging her four kids to enjoy music by Kanye West, even though her divorce from Kanye was a messy one.
Chappell Roan reveals the moment she knew she was gay
Chappell Roan just revealed the experience that made her know she was for sure gay.
According to her, her song “The Giver” is about the fact that men don’t know how to be giving in the bedroom. The song is about the way men fail to provide women adequate pleasure.
Chappell said, “The reason I say this is actually a huge reset for people, the way people talk about sex in this day and age is that it has been so divorced from pleasure. That is my experience when I hooked up with men. That’s how I knew I was gay.”
She just talked about this on an episode of the Las Culturistas podcast.
Sabrina Carpenter in Harry Potter?
One of the most common Google searches about Sabrina Carpenter is about which character she played in Harry Potter movies.
Rumors about Sabrina being cast in Harry Potter movies have been circulating online for a while, which is why this Google search became so prevalent.
However, Sabrina never actually starred in a Harry Potter movie.
Confusion comes from seeing that she simply shares a major resemblance to the actress who played Luna Lovegood, Evanna Lynch.
HBO announced and confirmed a Harry Potter TV show set to come out in 2026, but don’t hold your breath to see Sabrina cast as one of the characters.
She’s currently 25 years old and she’s aged out of playing teenage characters at this point.
Sydney Sweeney’s wedding in ‘Euphoria’
Sydney Sweeney’s wedding to Jonathon Davino might be called off, but we’ll still get a chance to see her in a wedding dress when Euphoria Season 3 comes out.
In a leaked picture from her time filming the show, it appears she’s dawning a white wedding gown.
Sydney plays Cassie on the show and it looks like Cassie is going to marry her high school boyfriend, Nate Jacobs, played by Jacob Elordi.
I’m honestly super excited about Season 3 of Euphoria since we’ve been told it will have a time jump that allows the characters to be done with high school so we can see them in their 20s. It will premiere on HBO sometime in 2026.
Serena Williams does NOT hate Drake after their breakup
Drake and Serena Williams were rumored to be dating in 2011, although they never officially confirmed it.
A lot of people assume Serena threw shade at Drake by agreeing to hit the stage at the 2025 Super Bowl with Kendrick Lamar in the middle of Kendrick‘s feud with Drake.
Serena showed up C-walking and living her best life during Kendrick‘s performance.
However, Serena just shut down the narrative that there’s bad blood between her and Drake after their breakup.
During an interview with Time 100, she was asked if she intentionally dissed Drake at the Super Bowl.
She responded saying, “Absolutely not. I would never do that. And that was sad, that anyone would ever think that. I respect how they could. Obviously I can see how someone would think that. But absolutely not. I have never had negative feelings towards him. We’ve known him for so many years.”
Serena is and always has been a class act.
Lana Del Rey song on Euphoria Season 3?
With Season 3 of Euphoria coming to HBO in the future, some fans of Lana Del Rey are curious to know if she’ll be releasing an additional song for the soundtrack.
She recorded “Watercolor Eyes” for Season 2 and it was beloved at the time.
The phrase watercolor eyes describes the visual of someone crying with their blurred tears and smudged makeup.
The song itself is about a toxic relationship that’s off and on. The lyrics fit the narrative of Nate Jacob’s relationship with Cassie and his relationship with Maddy pretty damn well.
As of now, Lana hasn’t made any announcements about recording a song for Season 3 of Euphoria, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that she will!
For now, we are still looking forward to Lana‘s new album called The Right Person Will Stay, which is set to be released on May 21, 2025.
