This is why Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet makes sense as a couple, even if you hate it. Even if you hate seeing them together.

I personally don’t hate seeing them together because I live for love and I believe everyone deserves to have their happily ever after.

I do deep dives into TV shows, movies, other pop culture topics. Right now, Kylie and Timothee are heavily on my mind based on his acceptance speech at the recent Critics Choice Awards. So let’s dive in.

Timothee’s acceptance speech highlighted the length of their relationship

My first reason for truly thinking that Kylie and Timothee makes sense as a couple, even if they have a lot of haters praying on their downfall, is that they have such a high level of respect for each other, and we saw evidence of that in Timothee‘s acceptance speech at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards.

Bar for Bar, he said, “I would like to say thank you to my partner three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much.”

It was a rare occurrence for Timothee to say anything publicly about Kylie because over the last three years, he has largely stayed tightlipped about the relationship whenever he gets asked about her in interview.

But the difference here is that this wasn’t an interview. There wasn’t anyone hounding him with questions about his private relationship.

There wasn’t anyone harassing him or beating him for personal details about Kylie.

This was HIS moment and he used part of his celebratory moment to shine a light on his relationship since he has respect for Kylie.

It was important to him to mention the length of time they’ve been together, which is three years, and I feel he added that detail as a reminder to everyone that this relationship is serious.

They are in a long-term, committed, monogamous, and serious relationship.

Timothee acknowledges Kylie’s positive impact

Secondly, Timothee talked about his foundation with Kylie and said he “couldn’t do this without” her. Credit where credit is due.

Kylie has always come across like the type of person who really pours into the people she loves.

We’ve seen evidence of that in her past relationships and in some of her current ongoing friendships.

For example, when she was with Tyga, she frequently promoted his music and even starred in a couple of his music videos.

She starred in his music videos for Dope’d Up and Stimulated. I’m not saying that Tyga wasn’t already doing well for himself as a rapper.

But having Kylie as his “video vixen” in those videos undoubtedly brought more success and attention to his music.

And then when Kylie was dating Travis Scott, who she shares two babies with, she was constantly promoting his music through social media post.

And you have to remember, Kylie is one of the most influential Instagram girl of this day and age.

As of now, she’s got almost 400,000,000 followers and brands are willing to drop millions of dollars to get promotional content from her.

But while she was getting Travis, she used his songs as the backdrop for some of her Kylie Cosmetic ads, simply because she wanted to.

And we’ve witnessed Kylie buying extravagant gifts for her friends, like for example, when she was at the peak of her friendship with Jordyn Woods, she gifted Jordyn with a Mercedes-Benz, a Cartier bracelet, and so much more.

She gave her makeup artist a diamond ring at one point. She’s purchased customized jewelry for Stassie Baby on multiple occasions.

She has always been that type of person with that type of heart, and it just goes to show that she has continued to maintain that energy in her relationship with Timothee.

Timothee & Kylie’s social media interactions

Third, let’s talk about the fact that they’re finally starting to interact with each other on social media.

It’s been three years, which is quite a long time, but Kylie and Timothee finally just had their first social media interactions on Instagram recently.

This might not seem like a big deal to every day, average person, but in the pop culture world, it means a lot when celebrities engage with each other online.

That’s because they know they’re being heavily scrutinized by millions of people at any given moment.

One little like or comment on a social media post causes the rumor mill to spin. It causes people to start talking. It causes so many headlines.

Kylie followed Timothee on Instagram and she’s only following 130 people. As of now, Timothee is following zero people back, and it’s unclear if he will follow her back.

It seems that he is choosing to keep his account a zero following number for the purposes of social media aesthetics, but Kylie following him is still a big deal, in my opinion. It took her a while to actually do that.

And he just commented on her social media post a few days ago when she was rocking a super sexy orange dress in honor of the theme of Marty supreme.

Timothee left a bunch of orange hearts in her comment section.

Personally, I’ve always felt that a man should be hyping you up in your comment section if he’s really your man.

For me, my husband is heavy in every single comment section on all of my posts on my Instagram and TikTok.

Even if no one else gives me a like or comment, my husband shows up and he’s the one who does that for me.

And it honestly makes me feel really loved. It makes me feel really seen.

I know that for celebrities, they often try to avoid social media interactions because they know it’s going to quickly turn into headlines.

But Timothee said fuck it and did it anyway, which I take as a positive sign that he really is taking this relationship seriously.

And again, I know that a lot of people will dismiss social media interactions and say that they are not a big deal.

And that’s very true for regular everyday people. But social media interactions are actually a very big deal for celebrities because again, they are constantly being judged for every single action they take and every single thing they post.

Timothee’s rap verse mentioned Kylie’s success

Fourth, let’s talk about Timothee‘s shout out of Kylie in his rap song. He was featured on the 4 Raws Remix with EsDeeKid.

He shouted Kylie out in his verse when he said, “It’s Himothée Chalamet chillin’. Tryna stack a hundred million, girl got a billion.”

It was an obvious reference to Kylie who is extremely close to hitting billionaire status things to her Kylie Cosmetics sales.

Kylie has been building up brand since its initial launch in 2015, and regardless of how many people love to hate on her and drag her, her brand is moving in the right direction.

Plus, she’s launched several other businesses Like Kylie Skin and Kylie Baby. And now she’s got a clothing line called KHY.

So his shout out to Kylie referencing her status and level of success is another indication of how much respect he has for her.

He mentioned that he himself is still trying to stack his first hundred million.

So he’s acknowledging that he’s not even on Kylie‘s level regarding success just yet, but he is still impressed by his girlfriend for achieving what she’s already accomplished.

I personally love that.

He shouted her out in that song, and that’s what made his verse the most enticing to me, aside from his shout out of his movie title, Marty supreme.

And I love that he dropped that song not long after Kylie came out with Fourth Strike with Terror Jr.

Kylie didn’t shout Timothee out in her verse for Fourth Strike, but her lyrics are so flirtatious and so intimate that it sounds like she is speaking directly to Timothee in her verse.

In the song she says, “Touch me, baby, tell me I’m your baby. Write your name all over my body.“

Who the fuck else could she be talking to aside from her boyfriend? The lyrics are obviously directed at Timothee.

I love that they both are kind of dipping their toes into the music scene at the same time.

Major hint that Timothee supports Kylie’s acting pursuits

My fifth reason why I believe Kylie and Timothee make so much sense together, even if they’ve got relentless haters, is that Timothee doesn’t seem irritated or bothered by the fact that Kylie is about to venture into acting for the first time.

Timothee is a seasoned actor who’s been carving a name for himself since 2008. He takes this shit seriously.

And we’ve seen evidence of that in some of his biggest roles to date like the Dune franchise, and obviously most recently, Marty Supreme.

Along with the Critics Choice Award he just won, he’s also taken home a Screen Actors Guild award, an Independent Spirit Award, and a few other awards over the years.

While excepting his SAG awar, he told the world exactly where his head is at regarding his career as an actor.

He said, “I know we’re in a subjective business, but the truth is, I’m really in pursuit of greatness. I know people don’t usually talk like that, but I want to be one of the greats.”

He went on to list of some of the great people he’s been inspired by through the course of his career, but this just goes to show that he really takes acting seriously. He takes his career to heart.

And the latest update about Kylie is that she is starring in a movie called The Moment with Charli XCX that’s hitting theaters this year in 2026.

It’s about a pop star on the rise, who’s navigating the pressure and complexity of fame for the first time in her life.

This will be Kylie‘s first time acting, but Timothee doesn’t feel like Kylie is stepping on his toes by dipping into acting because he shouted her movie out.

It’s being produced by a finance company called A24, and he spoke to good morning America saying, “I want everything to be great in A24 is an independent finance company. They got a great movie coming out called the moment.“

He brought attention to Kylie’s upcoming movie, which is a sign that he is excited for it to actually come out.

In some unhealthy, romantic relationships, couples have slight competitiveness between them, especially in the Hollywood industry. W

e’ve heard countless stories of famous couples falling apart, because one of their careers excels past the other or one of them starts gaining more success over the other in different areas.

But that doesn’t seem to be the case for Kylie and Timothee. If he was annoyed about his reality TV star girlfriend trying her hand at acting, he simply wouldn’t have shouted out her movie at all.

Timothee seems comfortable with being a stepdad to Kylie’s kiddos

The next point I want to make about why I believe Kylie and Timothee’s relationship makes a lot of sense has to do with her kids.

His willingness to be in a long-term relationship with her knowing that she already has two kids speaks volumes about how much he really cares about her and loves her.

Dating someone who already has kids from another relationship is not easy. I can personally confirm because the man I dated before I got married to my husband had a child.

And it was incredibly difficult to navigate that relationship.

So the fact that Timothee is open-minded, willing, and comfortable in a stepfather role is actually a way bigger deal than a lot of people are giving him credit.

If you’ve never dated someone who already has kids, then you really have no idea what that’s like and the type of compromises you have to be willing to make.

So from personal experience, I have a lot of respect for Timothee in the fact that he is showing up for Kylie and spending quality time with her kids in this relationship.

Multiple outlets have reported that Timothee has a good relationship with Kylie‘s two kids, Stormi and Aire.

As I previously mentioned, she shares them with Travis Scott. And that’s a big deal I don’t think a lot of people are acknowledging.

He also described the lives of childfree people as being “bleak“ and even though plenty of people are saying that we shouldn’t take his words out of context, Timothee did say he sees the lives of childfree adults as bleak.

That’s how he individually feels. Not all of us agree. I’m childfree by choice and I love my life without kids. But everyone is entitled to their own feelings and opinions when it comes to having children.

And his opinion is that if he were to live a childfree adulthood, it would be bleak.

So that means that his openness to fatherhood and being a parent goes, handed hand in his relationship with Kylie who already has kids.

I live for love and I love seeing people love and be loved in return, so I’m waiting for them and I sincerely do hope it works out.
