The many couples on Gossip Girl made the show so much more interesting to follow. It’s interesting to think about how many couples on the TV show stayed true to the couples written about in the novel series. 

Some of the couples from the OG Gossip Girl series were really cringeworthy –– but some of them were total #RelationshipGoals! Here’s a round-up of both.

Cringeworthy: Blair and Louis

Louis tried to force her to stay in a loveless marriage after he found out she was still in love with Chuck. These two were doomed from the start.

Relationship Goals: Dorota and Vanya

The CUTEST. If only these two had the freedom to spend more time together outside of their busy work schedules. They were always using their time catering to Upper Eastside’s elite.

Cringeworthy: Dan and Blair

Blair spent such an ample amount of time on the show disgusted by Dan. When their random love union happened, it kind of felt… out of place. Why did the writers do this?!

Relationship Goals: Blair and Nate

If Blair wasn’t perfectly matched for Chuck, her relationship with Nate would’ve been endgame. They were pretty damn perfect together.

(Aside from him cheating on her with Serena, of course.) But who could forget the perfect prom night they shared?

Cringeworthy: Nate and Jenny

It was honestly pretty intriguing watching the love story dynamics between Jenny and Nate unfold. Regardless though, their romance was still cringeworthy.

She was caught up in that angsty teenage girl moment in life while he seemed way above all of that. It was great that he came to her rescue that handful of times though. (Like when she almost stripped down for a sleazy photographer.)

Relationship Goals: Nate and Serena

Serena and Nate were great together. In some cases, they were better together than she and Dan. The only problem is that they hooked up the first time behind Blair’s back. When they reconciled for love years later, it made much more sense for them to be together.

Cringeworthy: Dan and Georgina

Anyone dating Georgina is going to cause a cringeworthy reaction. She was the WORST.

Relationship Goals: Serena and Dan

The couple everyone focused on for the majority of Gossip Girl was obvi Dan and Serena. They were a power couple whenever they were together, yet still maintained their friendship whenever they were broken up.

He wrote his way into her life by creating the GG persona… which is slightly romantic. Messed up AF, but slightly romantic.

Cringeworthy: Serena and Tripp

He. Left. Her. For. Dead. What more is there to say? Thankfully, Nate ended up punching Tripp in the face on behalf of Serena when he found out.

Relationship Goals: Chuck and Blair

The relationship between Chuck and Blair is one of the most passionate romances to ever exist on television.

Waiting for him to say “I love you” and then hearing him finally say it was EVERYTHING. Their wedding day and the finale reveal of their son were epic also.
