Some diehard Twilight fans absolutely adored Kristen Stewart’s rendition of Bella Swan in the films.

Others felt like her performance was lackluster and left much to be desired. They felt like she could’ve done a better job being believable.

Can you picture Jennifer Lawrence playing Bella instead of Kristen? That truly could’ve been how it all turned out.

Instead, Jennifer passed on the role and later starred as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games franchise.

Jennifer told The Guardian in 2012, “I had no idea Twilight would be such a big deal. For me, and assuming for her, it was just another audition. Then it turned into this whole other thing.”

One of the biggest factors that came into play with Kristen in the role of Bella is that she started dating the actor who played Edward Cullen in real life while filming.

The whirlwind romance between Kristen and Robert Pattinson made plenty of headlines leading up to the point of their tragic breakup after her messy cheating scandal.

If Jennifer had said “yes,” to playing Bella, Kristen and Robert may have never started dating in the first place. They wouldn’t have been spending all that time on set together.

If Jennifer said “yes,” to playing Bella, she likely wouldn’t have ALSO been able to film The Hunger Games franchise since the final Twilight movie premiered the same year as the first Hunger Games movie in 2012.

It’s interesting to take note of how wildly different things could have been.
