Whenever the month of March rolls around, everyone knows it’s high time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
Celebrating this holiday means wearing green so you don’t get pinched, hitting up your local bar or a pub to order some drinks, and socializing with your closest friends.
This holiday is even more special if you’re of Irish heritage.
Some people love to go all out and book trips to Ireland to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! After all – Destination holidays are the best.
How popular is this holiday in America compared to other holidays, though? Here’s what we found out.
62% of Americans are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in 2024

According to Statista, 62% of Americans voted YES to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this year. That leaves 38% of Americans on the outs.
Obviously, St. Patrick’s Day has more than half of society in a chokehold.
Although the holiday is full of positive vibes and good luck, it still doesn’t break the top 10 list for being the most beloved celebratory day in America.
Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Christmas, Veteran’s Day, and Mother’s Day make up the top five list.
Father’s Day, Easter, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Labor Day, and Halloween make up rest of the top 10 list.
After that, New Year’s Eve comes in at 11th place. St. Patrick’s Day follows in 12th place.
Regardless of how popular St. Patrick’s Day might be in America, this is a holiday that will always be incorporated into every calendar.
