Any private messaging apps are a huge red flag to notice on your partner’s phone.

A few examples of private messaging apps would be Telegram, Signal, and WhatsApp.

Although WhatsApp is super popular for communicating with others while traveling, it’s also a great way for people to keep their conversations under wraps outside of the regular iMessage or text message threads.

Vault apps are another huge red flag to look out for.

Vault apps are specifically designed to keep videos, photos, and other files passcode protected.

A few examples of vault apps include KeepSafe, Vaulty, and Calculator Photo Vault.

The Calculator Photo Vault app is probably the sleaziest because it looks like the normal Calculator app at first glance.

Any social media apps that might have private messaging features should also be on your radar.

This includes Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and Snapchat. It’s possible for your partner to communicate with whoever they want within those private messaging threads.

Since just about everyone uses Instagram, that’s one app that you might not want to freak out about too much.

Anonymous chatting apps are probably the biggest red flag of all.

These apps are designed to encourage secrecy. You’ll want to stay on the lookout for Kik, Whisper, and Hush.

Since these apps thrive on the notion of secrecy, they’re breeding grounds for users to have flirtatious and intimate conversations with other users.
